   The shell felt warm when Pochy picked it up. Held close to his ear, a small voice whispered: “Come down. We need you.”

2. Page 2

   

   Underwater, Pochy could breathe as easily as on land. A seahorse named Pip spun excited circles around him and pointed toward the old coral city.

3. Page 3

   

   The city's great lantern had gone dark. Pochy reached up, gave it one gentle polish, and the whole ocean floor lit up gold.
